How Sunshine Creations Co. Began Building Community Through Creativity

If you are here, I truly believe it is not by accident.

Welcome to Sunshine Creations Co., a place created from the belief that creativity heals, community matters, and light can still be found even after the hardest seasons.

My name is April and this space has been built from years of lived experience including joy, loss, faith, exhaustion, hope, and a deep desire to create something meaningful for others. Sunshine Creations Co. is not just a business. It is a reflection of a journey and an invitation for you to walk part of yours here too.

How Sunshine Creations Began

Sunshine Creations began very simply.

It started with me making wreaths to sell. Creating with my hands brought me peace and before I knew it, those small creations opened the door to something bigger. For years, I hosted events at our local fire department. Those events became a place of connection, creativity, and community, but eventually that chapter came to an end.

Instead of letting that door closing stop me, I had a realization. If I could help build those events for others, I could do it for myself as a business.

So I did.

I stepped out in faith and hosted my very first Sunshine Creations show. That first event welcomed over seventy vendors, far more than I ever expected. Even more meaningful, many of those original vendors are still part of the Sunshine Community today. What began as a simple idea quickly grew into something rooted in relationships, trust, and shared creativity.

Sunshine Creations Co. grew from there, shaped by community, fueled by creativity, and guided by faith.

Sunshine Creations officially began in August of 2023. In a little over a year, it has grown in ways I never could have imagined. From that first show to ongoing events, creative gatherings, retreats, and community outreach, the growth has been fast, humbling, and deeply faith led. What matters most is that it has grown with heart. The community, the relationships, and the purpose have always come first.

A Name That Grew With the Vision

As Sunshine Creations continued to grow, the name grew with it.

In the beginning, it was simply Sunshine Creations. When I officially formed the business and became an LLC, the name expanded to Sunshine Creations and Special Events. At the time, that felt like the best way to describe what we were doing.

As the vision expanded, what started with wreaths and vendor shows grew into craft nights, retreats, community outreach, creative projects, and so much more. Sunshine Creations became more than just events. It became a community, a creative space, and a place where faith and connection could live side by side.

That is why today we are Sunshine Creations Co. The name reflects all that we do and all that we continue to grow into.

Our Heart and Mission

At the core of Sunshine Creations Co. is a simple mission.

To create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired through creativity, community, and faith.

Everything we do, including craft nights, vendor shows, retreats, outreach events, and creative projects, is designed with intention and heart. We believe creativity is healing. Community is essential. Faith does not have to be loud to be powerful. Light grows when it is shared.
